Danseakademiet welcomes students from abroad Danseakademiet is offering you classes in classical ballet and contemporary ballet. We will dance with speed and power, focusing on dynamics, engagement and presence. The technique is mainly inspired from Bournonville, Vaganova, Graham, Limón and Cunningham. BALLET
All classes have barrework, adagio- and allegro compositions in the center: balance, turns, linking steps, and diagonally in the hall: steps and jumps. Ballet 4 and 5 exerts choreography. Ballet 5 please bring pointe shoes. CONTEMPORARY BALLET Modern exercises in center (e.g. floor barre). Turns, linking steps, jumps and choreography. Please notice: you must have ballet experience. TEACHER and DIRECTOR Vivi Christensen is initiator and director for Danseakademiet and moreover director for Randers Balletskole. Vivi has great expertise, both when it comes to ballet techniques, choreography and pedagogy. She has studied and worked with ballet and other genre of stage dance for several years and is taught by excellent dancers and choreographers from many countries. A major field of interest is to make students proficient in ballet and contemporary. As dancer and choreographer she has worked with classical as well as contemporary pieces and has produced innumerable choreographies. Greater performances: Elverhøj / Le Conservatoire / The Nutcracker / Cinderella / Sleeping Beauty / Alice in Wonderland. Among other cultural organization interests Vivi has been a member of the physical committee, University of Aarhus. Vivi is further bachelor from Institute of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics from University of Southern Denmark, and cand.psych. from University of Aarhus, Denmark. WITHDRAWAL
Possible withdrawal during the season shall be communicated Danseakademiet in writing by mail. Timely withdrawal is before the 15th of the month, with effect from the first training in the following month. The fee is paid up to and including the month from which you are withdrawn, with effect from the following month. Students who only have the opportunity to attend one semester, please notify when you first registered. PAYMENT The fee is paid monthly in advance and transferred no later than the first of each month to the ballet school's bank account stated upon registration. When paying - please note your name and team name (eg. BALLET 1 + 2, BALLET 4, CONT.) Alternatively please pay in cash in the studio (not debit cards, not MobilePay). THE FIRST DAY Either pay Dkk 100, - for a test class Or first have transferred the month's fee to the bank account Or you must pay the first month's fee in cash. FEE
GUEST- & TEST CLASSES
Classes DKK 100,- This amount is part of the fee when you register. COMPENSATION CLASSES Missed lessons may in agreement obtained within one month. DRESSCODE BALLET / Women Light soft split-sole ballet shoes. Light or black ballet tights. Black leotard. Possibly short black georgette wrap skirt. T-shirt /sweatshirt. BALLET / Men Black soft split-sole ballet shoes. Black dance pants (boot cut) White t-shirt or tank top CONTEMPORARY Soft split-sole ballet shoes. Free flexible dancewear: tights, leotard or unitard, warmers GENERAL Basic dancers do not need to buy shoes in the beginning. Bring sports socks. And you don´t need the right clothes the first day ! HAIR All classes: Put your hair up COSTUMES Dancers who participate in performances must have shoes, tights, black leotard and/or white leotard with narrow straps.
